Merry Christmas!

We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year! We have so much to be thankful
for. God has truly blessed us! Let us not forget the true
meaning of this time of year......the birth of our Savior!

The God who opens the womb, giving the gift of
children,
became a child growing in the womb of a woman.

The One we depend on for everything
became dependent on human parents.

The One who holds the universe in
His hands was held in the arms of Mary.

The One who created the first
woman was born of a woman.

The Ancient of Days became a newborn.

The Helper became a helpless baby.

The Creator became a creature.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Enjoy some recent pictures.....

O Christmas Tree

Last year we picked out a real Christmas tree.
And Kirk cut it down so we decided to do it
again this year. It's one of my favorite things
to do as a family!
Here are some pictures from the day.

It was a beautiful, sunny day! When we arrived
we went on a little tractor hay ride out to
the Christmas trees

They have a variety of different
types of trees to choose from

Our little man found our tree!

Had to put a scenic picture in there

Pics of Caden

Our boy is 6 1/2 months old. At his 6 month
checkup he weighed 17 lbs 8 oz and was 27 3/4
inches long. He's still in the 50% for weight and
90-95% for height. He's really starting to get
around more. When he's on his belly he can move
himself around in a circle. It won't be long til
he's on the move. Look out world!!

He does great sitting all by himself now

He has so many expressions

He loves playing with Allison's little pig.
It squeals and snorts like a real pig too!
And he just laughs and trys to grab it.

I gotcha little piggy!

He has one bottom tooth already in
and he's working on the second one
which has made him very fussy lately

Sometimes I wonder what he's thinking

He absolutely loves both the dogs, but
for some reason he really wants to touch
Sucre. Probably because she's more at
his level than Lexi is. Plus, she's little and
fluffy. She's pretty fast though and gets away.

Hobo Night

Our church had a father/daughter
night and everyone had to dress up
as hobos. So off to the Good Will store
I went and this is the finished product.
They had a great time and I think they
enjoyed playing the part!

I thought Kirk's beard looked
pretty real,
even a bit scary!!

6 Months Old

Okay, so it's been awhile since I posted any pictures.
Thought it was about time so here are some recent
ones of him. He hasn't had his 6 month checkup yet
so I'm not sure on his height and weight. I'll have to
post that later. It's just hard to believe he's already
six months old. It has gone by way too fast!

Just chillin in his highchair. He is getting his two
bottom teeth so this blue teether
comes in handy.
One tooth has already popped through so he's
been a little fussy lately.

He's also sitting up pretty good by himself
most of the time, but does tip over sometimes.

This was all Allison's idea. She sometimes climbs
in his crib after he wakes up from his nap so this
is how I found them........oh boy!

What is my sister doing to me?

Big sister Al.......I wonder what
she'll come up with next!?

Boating & Caden Rolling Over

From left to right Ashley, Benjamin, Chloe, Allison, Lily, Jack, Bryce, Brady, & Caden

We went boating last weekend with Josh & Shelly,
John & Julie, & all their kiddos. We had a great time!
Every year we try to get a picture of all the cousins
on the beach. We seem to add someone new every
couple years! Caden is on a towel at the end!

4 Months Old

Our little boy is 4 months old already. It's so hard
to believe.....it goes by way too quickly.

He had is wellness checkup this past week and he
now weighs in at 15 lbs. 9 oz. and is 26 1/2 inches.

That puts him in the 50th percentile for his weight
and the 90-95th percentile for his height. Doc said
he's long and lean! Sounds like his Daddy! That a boy!

Family Picture

Just in case you are wondering here are some things about Caden:
  • smiles most of the time
  • laughs out loud, screams, and squeels
  • has his fingers or fists in his mouth most of the time
  • grabs his toes when laying down and puts them in his mouth
  • loves his blankies
  • rolls over from tummy to back
  • rolls over from back to tummy, but we have yet to see (he did it when I walked out of the room)
  • takes a pacifier, but sometimes sucks his thumb too
  • loves watching the dogs and sometimes laughs at them
  • goes in his Johnny Jumper
  • reaches for things (one day Kirk had him on his lap while he was eating breakfast and Caden grabed his bowl and got cereal all over both of them!)

First Time Eating Cereal

The pediatrician said we could start giving Caden cereal. So
here's the first attempt at it. He definitely knew it wasn't breastmilk.

What is this stuff anyway?

Happy boy!
